Color and contrast method
HEX, RGB, and HSL are alternate representations of an sRGB color. Conversion rounds displayed channels while the preview stays synchronized.
Contrast uses WCAG relative luminance and compares the lighter and darker values with the standard (L1 + 0.05) / (L2 + 0.05) formula.

What is the difference between RGB and HSL?
RGB describes red, green, and blue light channels. HSL describes hue, saturation, and lightness but maps to the same sRGB colors.
What contrast ratio does WCAG require?
WCAG 2.x requires at least 4.5:1 for normal text and 3:1 for large text at level AA, with limited exceptions.
