Time calculation method
The countdown compares the target instant with the browser clock and recalculates the remaining duration four times per second. The target is retained in the page URL for sharing or reopening.
Work hours subtract clock times in minutes, add one day when an overnight shift is selected or implied, then deduct the unpaid break before converting minutes to decimal hours.
