Method
Point-based grades divide earned points by available points. Weighted grades multiply each category grade by its share of the course. GPA uses course credits as weights for grade points.
Letter grades and GPA policies vary by institution. Results use the values entered and the common unweighted 4.0 reference shown in the calculator.
Questions
Multiply each category percentage by its decimal weight, then add the products. Weights for a complete course should total 100%.
A current grade can be normalized over completed categories, but a projected final grade should include every remaining category.
