World Clock

Keep a compact live list of important cities and see date boundaries and current offsets at a glance.

Method

Time standard and daylight saving rules

City choices use IANA time-zone identifiers. The applicable offset is resolved for the selected date, so daylight saving transitions are not treated as a permanent offset.

Local times skipped during a spring-forward transition are reported as invalid. Historical and future rules depend on the time-zone database shipped with the browser.

Questions

World Clock FAQ

Why does a city offset change during the year?

Some regions observe daylight saving time. The world clock applies the rules available in your browser time-zone database.

Is UTC the same as GMT?

They are usually interchangeable for civil time offsets, although UTC is the modern atomic time standard and GMT is historically based on mean solar time.
